The Northern region event was the third in Mashonaland Central since the launch of regional MINEX events in 2016. Focusing on providing critical information and promoting health and safety in Artisanal and Small Scale Mining (ASM), the event was sponsored by ZELA and supported by the Zimbabwe Miners Federation.
Topical issues centered on formalizing the small-scale mining sector and utilizing exclusive prospecting orders (EPOs). The event was held on the 6th of December at Glendale Country Club.
Key stakeholders included the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF), Shamva Mine Technical Services, YMF, ZELA, EMA, MMCZ, RBZ NSSA, and Fidelity Printers and Refiners.
