HOW MINEX WORKS

Minex involves a series of regional stakeholder engagement events held in areas where small-scale mining activity is predominant.  These areas include Zvishavane, Kwekwe, Bindura, Chinhoyi, Mutare, Filabusi and Gwanda.  The regional events culminate in a national Minex forum held concurrently with the Harare Agricultural Show.

THE OBJECTIVES OF MINEX 2019

 

1.	To bring together all players in the mining sector so as to push for a coordinated approach to the development of the sector;
2.	To promote sustainable mining practices among artisanal and small-scale miners;
3.	To help create an enabling environment for small-scale miners by linking them regulators and policy makers;
4.	To make markets and relevant information more accessible to artisanal and small-scale miners;
5.	To help create financing solutions for small-scale miners by connecting them with strategic funding partners.
